In the present investigation, with the objective of determining the prevalence of arterial hypertension in adult Canis familiaris and its associated factors in the district of Porvenir, 2023, a sample of 80 dogs met the following inclusion criteria: dogs from 1 year of age, of any breed, sex and body condition. The owners of the dogs were surveyed to determine their associated factors. In the results, a prevalence of 55% of arterial hypertension was determined (44/80) and, with respect to the associated factors, only sex had statistical significance (p≤0.022), using the Chi-square test, being males (68. 42%); while age, race, type of feeding, leftover food feeding and physical activity had no statistical significance (p≥0.05), age (62.50%), mestizos (64%), obese (62.50%), those with home feeding (56.25%), those with leftover food feeding (55.88%) and those who did not perform physical activity (68.18%). It is concluded that canine arterial hypertension is prevalent in the district of El Porvenir and is influenced by the sex factor
