The main objective of this research was: To explain how the use of pictograms as a strategy helps in working with children with autism spectrum disorder in I.E. of the UGEL 4 of Trujillo, 2023. Due to the naturalness of the work, an explanatory descriptive design was carried out, the population of the UGEL 4 updated to 2023 of 166 gardens was taken; 10 gardens were randomly chosen and 33 teachers were obtained as a sample to whom a questionnaire validated by three experts was surveyed. The result was that the level of frequency of use of pictograms in working with children with ASD has a low level of 9.09%; 36.36% at medium level and 54.55% at high level. Regarding the dimensions, 9.09% show a high level of frequency of use of pictograms in the anticipation dimension; 12.12%, a high level of frequency of using object pictograms to improve communication; Regarding the comprehension dimension, only 12.20% are at a high level when they use pictograms to promote information, communicate rules and organize materials; Finally, it was found that 66.67% use the activity pictograms constantly to promote the organization of time and decision-making of children. The effectiveness of the use of pictograms as a strategy in working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Educational Institutions of the UGEL No. 4 of Trujillo in the year 2023 is concluded, this demonstrates that greater use of pictograms by teachers in children with ASD translates into a significant increase in the benefits in communication, anticipation and understanding, thus consolidating the importance of this tool in teaching and supporting these children.
