The objective of this research is to identify, analyze and determine the specific competencies of Industrial Engineers, according to the vision of Industrial Engineers employers in the city of Trujillo, The study began with the selection of the sample of a total of 3018 companies in the La Libertad Region between small, medium and large companies, through the probabilistic sampling called stratified and to determine the number of study units for each stratum, the simple allocation criteria. Then, documentary analysis techniques were used with the purpose of studying the specific competences that the industrial engineer must have using secondary sources, as well as personal validation surveys of international experts and personal surveys of industrial engineers employers, to identify professional competences. required by an Industrial Engineer, then the application of the specific professional competencies of industrial engineers in professional performance was determined, followed by the level of achievement. Likewise, the sub competences of the specific competences were evaluated and compared with each of the labor areas of the ISSE-BOOK, which allowed determining subject areas that should be reinforced, as well as the development of the Integrated System of Universal Competences. (SICU) which allowed to classify the competences according to the training areas and to group them by means of combinations using the letters of the alphabet from A to Z, likewise the skills that an Industrial Engineer must have were determined and the established training areas were classified according to according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development OECD and finally the Functional Map was applied to group the specific competences and sub-competences required by the Industrial Engineering professional.
