In the present study, with the aim of determining a possible relationship between blood urea and creatinine values, and the presence of crystals in urine in cats, 61 cats were taken as a sample, disregarding age, sex or breed. The corresponding samples were taken from these cats, by venipuncture in the cephalic vein for blood tests of urea and creatinine; and by ultrasound-guided cystocentesis for the urine sample. The results obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Fisher's exact test. A prevalence of crystalluria of 49.18% was reported. On the other hand, it was found that the average urea level was 59.74 mg/dl; while the average value of creatinine was 0.99 mg/dl. The relationship between the presence of crystalluria and urea values did not have statistical significance; similarly, the presence of crystalluria and creatinine values did not show statistical significance either. Therefore, it could be concluded, that there is no relationship between urea and creatinine levels and the presence of crystals in urine.
