Objective: to describe the complications in post-transurethral prostate resection patients at Cayetano Heredia III-1 EsSalud Piura Hospital 2017. Methodology: Observational, retrospective, cross-sectional study of secondary source in malen patients who underwent transurethral resection of BPH in the Hospital Cayetano Heredia III-June 1, 2017 to June 2018. Results: data were collected from 51 patients, the age range of these patients who developed complications after transurethral resection of BPH was 41-62 years (average 49.62nd); Within our 51 patients 58.82% (30 patients) were in the age range between 51 and 60 years, I feel these age values in greater quantity, unlike patients in 61 to 70 years 1 case was detected (1.96% ). The time of onset of these complications was detected between approximately 6 to 10 days with an average of 8.57 days in 32.25% of post-TUR patients; Hyponatremia (Sd. Post RTUP) was presented as the surgical complication with the highest incidence (25.49%), followed by that we found that 23.52% needed catheterization and within the complications with less presence we found the perforation of the prostate capsule (3 cases - 5.88%) and urethral stenosis (2 cases - 3.92%). Conclusion: The main complications were hyponatremia (Sd. Post RTUP) with 25.49% in addition to catheterization (23.52%). The age range was between 51 and 60 years with 30 cases found, the average time of greatest occurrence of complications was 6 to 10 days (8.57 days) with 32.25%.
