Objective: To study the factors associated with joint hypermobility in pediatric patients treated in the Hospital III-1 José Cayetano Heredia - Piura during the period June to December 2019. Methodology: Cross-sectional, analytical and observational study, which will be included pediatric patients aged between 4 to 12 years. To identify the association between variables, bivariate association tests for quantitative and qualitative variables will be applied, after which the associated variables will be selected to be included in a multivariable Poisson regression model. The statistical analysis will be carried out in the Stata version 14 program. Results: Sample of 250 participants aged between 4 to 12 years, of which 38.8% presented SHA, of which 55.7% were female, 62.9% were between 4-8 years old, the 72.2% and 64.9% presented weight not suitable for age and height not suitable for age respectively. The most frequent clinical maneuver was hyperextension of the knees with 48.8%. The most frequent clinical feature was the presence of abnormal skin with 44.3%. Conclusion: The Associated Factors for Joint Hypermobility found were: Female Sex (p: 0.014 95% CI 0.86 - 7.63), age between 4-8 years (p: 0.005 95% CI 0.63 - 0.113), weight not suitable for age ( p: 0.005 95% CI 0.003-1.75) and with a size not suitable for age (p: 0.005 95% CI -0.32 - 2.15), presence of varicose veins (p: 0.049 95% CI 0.030 - 0.980), lesions of soft tissues (p: 0.02 95% CI 0.024 - 0.912), Dislocation / Subluxation (p: 0.001 95% CI 0.02 - 0.8) and skin abnormalities (0.035 95% CI 0.021 - 0.91)
