MATERIAL AND METHOD: It is an observational, analytical, cross-sectional, prospective study, with primary data collection. through surveys in students of the Private University Antenor Orrego-Piura. The population consisted of 3095 male students enrolled between 2020 and 2022 with a final sample of 342 participants stratified by careers; a significance process was thought with a value p<0.05. RESULTS: The average age was 22.33 (SD: 1.27) years and where the largest age group was between 21 to 25 years (SD: 1.23), 64 participants in Civil Engineering (18.71%) were identified, being the professional career with the largest number of participants, 16.37% found high levels of knowledge in how many Sexually Transmitted Infections and 3.8% of the total records (13 participants) were positive for machismo registration, finally we will find an association of a significant type at a rate medium (p:0.05) and high (p:0.002) level of knowledge and for the presence of machismo this will be associated with low levels (p:0.02) respectively. CONCLUSION: A significant association was found with a p value <0.05 for condom use, medium and high level of knowledge about Sexually Transmitted Infections and for the presence of machismo, this will be associated with low levels, respectively
