To determine the prevalence and epidemiological profile of health personnel with SARS-CoV-2 infection at Hospital Belen de Trujillo during the period April-October 2020. Materials and Methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional study with a sample selected for convenience. The study population consisted of all COVID-19 positive health personnel at the date of the survey (300 infected). Results: A prevalence of 29.7% of health workers infected by SARS-CoV-2 was found in the Hospital Belen de Trujillo, out of a total of 1009 active workers during the pandemic. A predominance of infected was found in female health personnel and in adulthood 30-39 years. 85% were diagnosed with a serological test in June. The most infected occupational group was nursing, while 26.7% were exposed to aerosols and 15% participated as part of the team in airway management. 62.3% presented an exposure time of ≥ 15 minutes in care with each infected patient and 72% used both disinfectants (soap and alcohol). 13% carry out work in the Covid area; and the Non-Covid Area, 12.7% belong to the emergency service. 78.3% changed respirators every three days, 24.3% had contact with a previously infected family member, 77.3% frequented the market only once a week, 39.3% traveled by taxi and 53% were overweight. Conclusions: The prevalence of COVID-19 in the health personnel of the Hospital Belen de Trujillo April-October 2020 was 29.7%. A predominance of infected was found in the age group of 30-39 years, female, the majority were diagnosed with a serological test in June and the nurses were the ones who were most infected. A quarter of the personnel had exposure to aerosols and worked more than 12 hours, while a sixth received incomplete PPE and participated in airway management. Most had an exposure time of ≥ 15 minutes in care with each infected patient. More than half were overweight, changed respirators every 3 days, used both disinfectants (alcohol and soap) for hand washing and frequented the market once a week.
