The project to create a ““Temporary Shelter Home for Women and Children Victims of Family Violence““ has been selected as a topic of interest. Its objective is to provide warm spaces for victims of family violence, whose numbers have increased over the years. This home would be able to offer comprehensive care through recovery and healing environments to women and children, as well as a place for professionals to efficiently carry out therapies. According to a report carried out by the Ombudsman's Office on the supervision of temporary shelter places, the country has only 49 registered Temporary Shelter Homes. In the Ancash region, for example, there is only one home of this type, which would not be enough to properly supply the large number of cases. The report also shows that 53% of all establishments in Peru do not have adequate spaces for people with disabilities, such as ramps, signage and toilets. Furthermore, 14% of the total do not have private offices, which is essential for comprehensive care by health professionals.
