This research was carried out with the aim of determining how the implementation of the PERIPATO program develops critical thinking in students of the first cycle of law of the Private University Antenor Orrego Campus Piura – 2019. The present research was pre-experimental applying a Pre and Postest, having as a population the students enrolled in the first cycle of law semester 2019-10 and taking as show 60 students enrolled in the philosophy course in a classroom already Constituted. To measure the development of critical thinking was chosen for the validation of a questionnaire of critical thinking skills, said questionnaire was made up of 20 items where 5 skills are measured critical thinking and for the application of the program PERIPATO, eight class sessions were developed. The statistical tests used were calculated using the SPSV23 statistical package. In addition, the t-student statistical test was used for the mean check which determined significant statistical difference (p<0.05) between the pretest and Postest scores. Consequently, the application of the PERIPATO program develops critical thinking in students of the first cycle of law of the Antenor Orrego Private University.
