Objective: To determine the associated risk factors and the most frequent complications of urinary infection in pregnant women treated at Hospital de Apoyo II -2 in Sullana in 2018. Methodology: Analytical, correlational, observational, cross-sectional retrospective study of cases and Controls in a ratio of 1: 1. The sample was calculated using the statistical program. Epi info and its formula. 135 for controls Results: The average age of the cases and controls was 26.66 (SD: 0.55) and 26.09 (SD: 0.595). most of Sullana's procedures, marital status, household occupation and primary education level; The risk factors of the ITU are presented in 18.52% of the cases and 2.96% of the controls, resulting in the ITU partner. In the case of pregnant women with the level of education in pregnancy, currently, in the group of cases in 83.70%. Abortion was present in 17.78% of the cases, result associated with the ITU in pregnancy, the threat of abortion, which occurred in 8.89% and premature rupture of membranes, with 11.85% of the cases were associated with ITU in pregnancy (p <0.002 and p <0.023 respectively). In the multivariate analysis it was found that they had had UTIs, they were repeated 1.88 times the prevalence rate of UTI in pregnancy (p: 0.004, RPa: 1.88, CI :( 1.22 - 2.91); UTI during pregnancy that increases 1.92 the prevalence ratio of the threat of abortion (p: 0.03; RPa: 1.92; CI: (1.06 - 3.48) Conclusion: ITU is a problem in pregnancy, responses such as abortion, the threat of abortion and The premature rupture of membranes are related to the ITU in pregnancy.
