The aimed was analyzing the relationship between family functionality and aggressiveness in adolescents from a private school in the Trujillo’s disctrict. It’s a substantive research and correlational descriptive design, the sample population made up of 112 adolescents aged between 12 to 17 years. The instruments used were the Family Cohesion and Adaptability Scale (FACES IV) by Olson et al. (2008) and Aggressiveness Questionnaire by Buss and Perry. The results show that the family functionality scales Cohesión, Flexibility and Rigid present a highly significant (p<.01), inverse and great correlation with Aggressiveness. In addition, the decoupled and Chaotic family funcionality scales present a highly significant (p<.01), direct and great correlation with Aggressiveness. Also, to highligjtinh the levels of Very Connected (44.1%) and Very Flexible (39.6%) in the balanced scales of familiy functionality, and the high level in the Decoupled (34.2%), and Chaotic (32.4%), moderate level on the Entangled scale (63.1%) and low level on the Rigid scale (48.6%). Regarding aggressiveness, the high level prevalied with 62.2% of the sample. It’s concluded that there is an association between the variables.
