As a solution to the problems of low performance in productivity and efficiency of various construction projects, there is a work strategy in various European countries, but still new in Peru, this is the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology, which allows a creation of a virtual 3D model, where yo can see all the necessary information on the infrastructure, know the various characteristics of what we want to build, be able to know an analyzable digital model of what is going to be executed and what cost impact it generates. This thesis aims to apply the BIM methodology up to the 3D dimension, in the modeling of dams and channels: Suyarida Santiago de Choco dam - La Libertad and Las Vegas channel - Piura - Peru. In order to meet our objective, it was decided to take as source of work the programs Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Subassembly Composer and Navisworks Manage, which served together to obtain the three-dimensional design of the two construction projects already mentioned above. The methodology used is applicative, using a descriptive method. To meet the goal, a systematic review process was carried out, in order to consolidate the conceptual framework of the BIM technology application procedures and obtain the latest advances in the environment we are studying, which will allow us to achieve the objectives of More precisely, then for the collection of information the descriptive memories of both technical files of the selected projects were used. It is concluded that designing a 3D modeling with the help of the Autodesk Civil 3D program and the BIM tools gives us many advantages and above all benefits. It allows us to find incompatibilities in the structures and at the same time when it is required to work in the office, it will serve as a guide to generate exact metrics and from these to evaluate the cost of the projects, supporting the integration of specialties and managing changes in the design or the evaluation. Obtaining not only the 3D dimensioning, but also the corresponding metrics for both the Suyarida dam and the Las Vegas canal
