Essential buildings, hospitals and schools, are structures that must be designed more rigorously than ordinary buildings. In recent years, the Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) has been developed with a greater presence in our country, even generating modifications in the Peruvian seismic building regulations. In this project work, the Incremental Dynamic Analysis of the Virgen de la Puerta Hospital located in the city of Trujillo, a modern building of great importance in the north of the country and designed with a standard no longer in force, will be developed. This study seeks to determine the Seismic Performance of the building through the mentioned analysis. To carry out this analysis, a compilation of the building information (plans, technical specs, descriptive memory, etc.) had to be carried out. Afterwards, a structural modeling was performed in the 3D structural design program ETABS. Seven pairs of seismic records (accelerations) were also selected, which will be used as IDA components for subsequent analysis in the ETABS program. After having defined the structure and its components, the program will be executed, where we will obtain the following results: Inelastic Displacements of Mezzanine, Maximum Drifts, Damage and ductility indexes of the elements, Capacity Curves, IDA Curves, Rigidity of the Building and Seismic Reduction Factor. The IDA Curves are graphs that relate the Maximum Drifts and the Acceleration Increments, with these diagrams we can define the Performance Level and the state of Damage of the structure. It was determined that the building has a ““Life Safety““ performance level and a Moderate““ damage status
