The objective of this descriptive research was to determine the compliance of packages in prevention of infections by central venous catheter, in nurses of critical units, Hospital Belén, Trujillo 2019. the research was formed by 40 nurses of the ICU and Emergency services to who were applied a checklist created by the authors and valid by an expert jury and pilot test with a reliability level of 0.96 through the Kuder & Richardson process. A descriptive and inferential analysis was used for data processing. The results obtained concluded that the 46.5% of nurses complied with the bundles and the 53.5% of nurses didn't comply with the bundles. The 22.5% of nurses didn't comply with perform hand washing. The 47.5% of nurses didn't comply with the use of a transparent dressing with 2% chlorhexidine. The 55% of nurses didn't comply with the maintenance of chlorinated or permeable lumens. The 62.5% of nurses didn't comply with the use of aseptic technique during the care of the central venous catheter and the 80% of nurses did not daily evaluate the removal of the central venous catheter during their work shift.
