The objective of this research work was to determine the effect of Paclobutrazol on the cultivation of Persea americana. Mill. Cv. Hass, in Olmos - Lambayeque. This was done due to the fact that the avocado cultivation under the climatic conditions of Olmos presents a smaller size distribution, this is due to two factors that are: high temperatures at night during full fruit growth and competition from the summer sprout during the growth of the fruit; These two factors affect the growth of the fruit and therefore the yield. The doses that were used were: 0.25%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8% of paclobutrazol; all this in the Cv. Hass on the Zutano pattern. After application, the growth of the vegetative shoots of spring 2017 and summer 2018 was evaluated, resulting in the best dose of 0.6% since above this we obtain the same result and below there is an increase in size. The next evaluation that was carried out was the weekly evaluation of the growth of the fruit, where we obtained that until the beginning of the harvest (week 18) the best treatment was 0.8% with 199.1 g. The following evaluation was carried out during the harvest, that is where we determine the yield and distribution of calibers. For the yield, the best result was for the dose of 0.6% obtaining 21.28 t / ha. For the evaluation of size xii distribution, the best treatment was 0.6% paclobutrazol with an accumulated 70% of commercial sizes of higher price and an average fruit weight of 248.4 g. The best result of the trials is the application of 0.6% paclobutrazol due to the improvement in the parameters evaluated
