The main objective of this research was to solve a problem related to the efficiency of the equipment in the lemon distillate oil processing plant of the company Limones Piuranos SAC. The study began with a diagnosis in the operational area of the company based on the financial statements of the company and putting into relevance its sales income and operating costs and expenses, the most representative of which was maintenance expenses. As a result of the diagnosis, it was determined that the cauldron represented around 80% of the maintenance expenses, which impacted on the economic and financial profitability of the company with values for the 2019 period -1.57% and -0.81% respectively. Subsequently, an economic technical study was carried out to replace the machinery and determine the viability of the investment, resulting in increases in economic and financial profitability in the first year of project execution on average of 10% and with positive values of the current value economic and financial net of S/ 15´508,861.57 and S/ 9´012,056.79 respectively. Likewise, the internal economic and financial rate of return of the project with replacement was 31.28% and 33.81% respectively. All the above showed us that the project is economically viable because its TIRE is greater than the cost of financing the project (WACC = 20.11%), as well as its VANE> 0. In the same way, its financial viability was demonstrated with a TIRF higher than the minimum cost of profitability required by the shareholders (COK = 24.89%).
