The present research arises from the question of which would be the best option for twodimensional modeling in two of the most widely used programs at present and which would be the most acceptable and accurate results for use in the relevant containment designs in the section of the river studied. In the section of the study river is 1 km upstream and 1 km downstream of the Chaman bridge in the river chaman, hydraulic modeling has been done in the programs IBER and HEC-RAS, the main objective being to determine which are the most accurate results of both hydraulic modeling for later.
