Abstract: La investigación es de tipo sustantiva – descriptiva, con diseño correlacional; tiene
como objetivo determinar la relación entre el estrés laboral y el engagement en
colaboradores de una institución pública de Trujillo. El estudio se llevó a cabo en una
muestra de 108 colaboradores de ambos sexos con edades comprendidas entre los 25 y
60 años. Para medir las variables, se utilizó la Escala de Estrés Laboral de la OIT-OMS
y la Escala Utrecht de Engagement en el trabajo.
Con respecto al análisis relacional, los resultados determinaron que existe una
correlación muy significativa (p<.01) e indirecta (-.631) y con tamaño de efecto grande
entre el engagement y el estrés laboral en los colaboradores; también se identificó que, a
nivel general en cuanto a estrés predominan los niveles promedio bajo y promedio alto
(25.9%); por otro lado, en relación a engagement se evidenció que destaca el nivel
promedio (52.8%).
