In this report, the diagnosis and proposal for the structural design of flexible pavement on the South Pan-American Highway between the Puente Montalvo and Puente Camiara sections are carried out to improve road passability. In this case, for the diagnosis to be possible, the Pavement Condition Index method was used to know the functional status of the entire section. Thus, the on-site inspection was first carried out in order to record all the pathologies according to their type, area and level of severity. Then, we say that by registering all the pathologies in all the 2069 sampling units and making their respective evaluation with the PCI methodology, which gave a quantitative result of 13, that is, it has a ““Very Bad““ status. On the other hand, having knowledge of the current state of the road, the structural design of the pavement is carried out to propose its new thicknesses. Prior to this, the traffic study is carried out by means of the vehicle count in which an IMDA of 4532.84 vehicles per day is obtained, determined during 24 hours for 7 consecutive days on the date of November 20 until the 26 of the same month. Then, with the soil study, six test pits are carried out throughout the section, which finally, choosing their average, finds a CBR of 95% M.D.S. of the area is 81.0%, thus corresponding to an 𝑀𝑅 of 39,332 psi and with an average CBR at 100% M.D.S. is 92.9% having a default 𝑀𝑅of 43,153 psi. Emphasizing that the minimum value of CBR was chosen for the most unfavorable conditions. Concluding with the AASHTO 93 methodology, the thicknesses were obtained as the asphalt layer of 17 cm, the base of 40 cm and that of the sub base of 22 cm. So, the design variables were considered from the level of reliability to the structural coefficients
