The starting point of this research work is the problematic reality in the I.E. 1564 Radiantes Capullitos in the district of Trujillo, since children of the age of three presented difficulties during their play time, they limited themselves to capturing scenes of their environment, where they assimilated frustration and helplessness and did not demonstrate their own autonomy , to demonstrate their own learning criteria, where said research is of pre-experimental design and applied within a quantitative approach, for this reason the population is made up of 27 children and the evaluation instrument was applied, a checklist. Expert validation was conceptualized, by teachers at a highly trained level, providing security and reliability. Consequently, the following results were obtained, through a pre-test and post-tests; 74.1% were at the low level, 25.9% at the medium level and after the application, the Game as a didactic strategy for the development of autonomy in three-year-old children in a public institution in Trujillo 2023, an 88.9 was obtained. %, which were located at the high level and 11.1% at the medium level, reaching the conclusion that the game as a teaching strategy in three-year-old children significantly influences the development of autonomy
