To determine whether age, sex, marital status, work activity, family burden, study cycle and place of residence are factors associated with an inadequate lifestyle in medical school students at the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego Material and methods: An observational, cross-sectional and analytical study was carried out in 258 students of Human Medicine of the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego studying between the first and twelfth cycles of the current year, using the FANTASTICO survey. The chi-square test was performed for the variables where they were considered significant if p < 0.05 and risk of prevalence (RP) with a 95% confidence interval to determine the degree of association. Results: Of the 258 students, 146 (56.6%) had adequate lifestyles and 112 (43.4%) showed inadequate lifestyles. No significant statistical association was found with the proposed factors and inadequate lifestyle in Human Medicine students, due to the fact that with no variable was a p ˂ 0.05 found. Conclusion: Age, sex, marital status, work activity, family burden, study cycle, place of residence and study cycle are not factors associated with an inadequate lifestyle in medical school students.
