Currently the construction sector is being characterized by originating high additional budgets, due to the content of activities that do not add value during the construction procedures. With the premise that everything is cheaper on paper, this research proposes to foresee and avoid those possible incompatibilities during the design stage through the implementation of an integration method that promotes and facilitates communication among all interested parties. The objective of this research is to design and implement an integration method that reduces the causes of losses in the design of the product and the process of the project in the design stage. For which it is based on the tools of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) that have as characteristic in the work of new technologies aligned with the philosophy of Lean Contruction. Both techniques have in common three pillars which are: BIM, System of last planning and meetings of Concurrent Engineering. The design of an integration method was carried out with the help of Choosing by Advantages to identify the specific tools that eliminate or reduce the losses found. When the proposal was applied, savings were obtained from 27.6% to 37.4% in the additional budgets, which is based on the reduction of RFI, OC and the response time of both.
