This project focuses on the design of a wireless broadband network to interconnect the registry offices of the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec) in Metropolitan Lima. A broadband microwave network was designed that complies with the regulation of MTC, according to Supreme Decree No. 006-2013-MTC, and the standards of the UIT, which are the following: UIT-R P530-12, UIT-R P530-13, UIT-R P.526.9 and UIT-R P.525. For the sizing of the links, considering the geographical coordinates of each of the registry offices, the simulation was carried out using the LINKPlanner software and then the results obtained were analyzed. Subsequently, the broadband equipment was evaluated so that it meets the technical requirements evaluated in the study of traffic and radio propagation. Two microwave equipment of different brands were evaluated. The calculation of the current traffic of bandwidth consumption in each registry office was made taking into account the network services, such as IP telephony, video surveillance and internet, in addition to the online applications. On the other hand, the design fulfilled a system that supports the required traffic, considering the different services of the institution and a growth of 15% in five years.
