From the moment of its launch, in 2011, Peru’s brand has different strategies for local, national and foreign market. So, in 2012 began its internationalization campaign with greater force, achieving an extremely positive impact. This becomes a great opportunity for the country, since it can position its best products with an identity of origin and become an attractive destination for tourism and foreign investments. Thus, the present investigation aims to determine the effects that this has had on the exports of one of the main products of the country: quinoa, during the last five years (2013-2017). To do this, it will review the bibliographic documents about the country brand and the internationalization process of the companies. This study will employ a qualitative methodology of phenomenological design, in which in-depth interviews were conducted with representatives of quinoa exporting companies with experience over 4 years. This is due to the previous analysis of the historical data of the exports of the grain in the investigation period where also, the concentration and segmentation of said market will be determined. As a result of the analysis, it is concluded that the international launch of the Peru’s brand had no influence on quinoa exports during the years 2013-207, since it was other keys factors that determined the movement of the quinoa industry.
