Shopping centers agglomerate a great number of people, assets and infrastructure. Therefore, they are susceptible to accidents, visitors and workers may have a medical emergency, or are victims of theft. Additionally, shopping centers suffer legal demands for any problems above. For that reason, it is necessary that the facilities are in perfect condition of maintenance and operability in order to minimize the problems of Operational Safety and its personal, material and legal consequences. This Integral System considers all the checking procedures of retail and common areas, as well as the follow-up of the schedule of execution of the checklist and the solution of the problems found. In this way, not only the retailers are supervised, but also the personnel in charge of the checks. The system is not only applicable to shopping centers, it can also be used in educational centers, health centers, office buildings, industrial plants, etc. It can be applied to any installation that requires keeping its facilities in optimum conditions to safeguard the integrity of its occupants and infrastructure. We have verified that consistent use of this tool allows to improve the general state of the facilities and, consequently, the reduction of Operational Safety problems.
