Currently, one of the problems that have glassblower companies, is the limited availability of spare parts, in the local market, in case of failure of the control system of their equipment. This fact directly impacts the production and profitability of the company. Although there are several models and types of sandblasting machines that technically comply with the necessary requirements to perform the process of glass sandblasting efficiently. It is the economic part that hinders the acquisition and importation of them. In some cases it could take up to 60 days which would imply a loss of 30% of the expected annual profit. Whereas only the factory control system fails once, but if this problem is recurrent the consequences for the business can be more serious. Therefore, the present project seeks to implement an alternative control system that is capable of functioning similarly or better than the factory control system. The production cost of the alternative system is highly competitive, unlike the cost of purchase and import of a new factory control system, which can mean up to 60% of the cost of a new machine. The cost of the proposed control system means less than 10% of the cost of a control system of a local supplier including import costs.
