Nowadays, fashion industry around the world is in constant growth due to the competitiveness in trends, formats, processes and marketing strategies. In Peru, one of the new strategies for this industry is the “influencer marketing”. In this research the relation between the influencer marketing strategy with every step of the buying decision making process of womenswear in 18-25-year-old young millennial university students belonging to the A/B socioeconomic status (SES) and who live in the districts locate in zone 7 in Lima Metropolitan area will be studied. The focus of the research was mixed, a qualitative study has been made with experts’ interviews in the fashion industry and in digital marketing. Additionally, two focus groups complemented this part in order to study the target audience selected. Also, a quantitative study has been made with 379 surveys in order to validate and complement the obtained information. Finally, this study has found that there is significant influence between influencer marketing strategy and the buying decision making process of womenswear in the target studied which follow influencers because they truly reflect their lifestyle and the target can identify with them as well as the target believes that these influencers are sincere and credible, and also they value the fashion expertise of the influencer.
