This experimental thesis proposes the use of polymetallic tailings from the former Mercedes 3 Mining Unit, which is one of the 892 units that are currently mining environmental liabilities, for the manufacture of masonry units in the type of structural concrete block. The feasibility of using polymetallic mining tailings as an aggregate material for the manufacture of bricks was investigated in this study. The issue of environmental pollution caused by environmental liabilities and mining components has been addressed. Similar studies are mentioned for the manufacture of concrete blocks with iron mining tailings. An important issue that has been taken into account is the area of environmental influence of the relavera, population situation and housing in the study area. The design was done by material dosing and then the mixing design was developed with the ACI method. The aggregates were tested including tailings, tailings toxicity tests and finally mechanical tests of compressive strength. One of the important points is the level of toxicity of the tailings, which is ultimately verified with the mixture of the other aggregates and portland type I cement. Finally, data relating to the cost of the concrete block with tailings and the cost of the normal block with the same characteristics are shown.
