This project is developed in a company that provides geophysical services focused on mining, geotechnics and the environment. The problem found in the company, which is presented in the execution and completion of the projects, which generates a significant impact on the profits of the organization. During the last 3 years, 67.3% of the projects have been delayed, which has meant a decrease of approximately 9.81% of the profits and has also affected the satisfaction of the customers. In the diagnosis of the organization, the problems that arise in the various activities of the area of operations were identified, the improvement model in each activity identified as a factor of delay in the area. For the design of the model, a Mode and Effect of Failures Analysis (FMEA) was carried out to identify the failure mode with the greatest impact and thus be able to propose the improvement proposals. In the first place, the Kaizen methodology was applied, supported by a Capacities program and the elaboration of Safe Work Procedures (PETS). In addition, the Process Hierarchy Analysis (AHP) tool and the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) were implemented. The validation of the implemented design was made through the simulation in @Risk. With the implementation of this improvement model the project time delay is reduced by approximately 25% to 30% compared to the current time.
