This thesis has been developed with the purpose of demonstrating that the improvement in the processes of Project Management increases the probability of success throughout the project : Sistema Integral de Detección, Alarma y Extinción para todas las áreas de la planta Atocongo de la empresa UNACEM (Unión Andina de Cementos S.A.A.) located in Villa María del Triunfo, Lima city. The Project Management plan is aligned to the Integrated Management System of the company as well as its strategic objectives, the plan has been developed following global standards set in PMBOK Guide 2013 - 5th edition. The timeline of the project will be 24 months and the budget will be approximately USD 4,800,000.00 . The first chapter sets the Business Case , in which the internal and external factors of the organization have been evaluated, while in the second chapter the project management deliverables are presented. At the end of the project, the Planta Atocongo UNACEM will comply with the national regulations in force at the beginning of the project and will develop the operations ensuring the integrity of all workers and the assets of the organization; likewise, it will ensure the sustainable continuity of the operational and commercial activities. As a result of the financial evaluation of the project, the following values were obtained: IRR = 6.24%, NPV (8%) = USD 517,372.0, PAYBACK = 7 years.
