Tourism in Peru is a sector with high development potential that allows to boost the economy of the country's cities. In this way, this sector is one of the forms for the economic boost of the country. In recent years, the flow of foreign tourists in Peru has been increasing reaching more than 3 and a half million visitors in 2012, as well as domestic tourism has increased by 14% between 2011 and 2015. All this has been thanks to the policies promoted by the government such as: country brand, improvement of tourism infrastructure and access (roads, airports, etc.), internal promotion, among other aspects. Thus, tourism represents 3.9 of the national GDP (Source: Mincetur 2015. For this reason, we consider that the impact of the implementation of the gondolas in the tourism of the Amazon Region has been important and positive because it generated other sectors to be dynamic: the airlines (creation of new routes), travel agencies and tour operators, and the increase in the flow of tourists. The Kuélap cable cars, being the first in Peru of its kind, has generated great expectations in foreign tourists and, especially, the national since it has become a complementary attraction to the archaeological citadel.
