Centro de Capacitación y Difusión del Arte Textil Andino en Cusco

Abstract

El proyecto consta de un Centro de Capacitación y Difusión en la ciudad de Cusco. Tiene como enfoque principal rescatar los valores de los textiles, así como también de la arquitectura tradicional de la ciudad a través de un lugar de fácil accesibilidad e interacción para la población local y turística. La ciudad de Cusco, una de las regiones más significativas en cuanto al desarrollo textil, se eligió como emplazamiento del proyecto por su gran diversidad cultural. Dada la alta demanda de productos artesanales y la falta de equipamiento cultural, se presenta la oportunidad de implementar una nueva infraestructura donde se contribuye con el desarrollo del proceso de los textiles y asimismo esté en armonía con el entorno.

The project consists of a Training and Dissemination Center in the city of Cusco. Its main focus is to rescue the values of textiles, as well as the traditional architecture of the city through a place of easy accessibility and interaction for the local and tourist population. The city of Cusco, one of the most significant regions in terms of textile development, was chosen as the site of the project because of its great cultural diversity. Given the high demand for handicraft products and the lack of cultural equipment, the opportunity is presented to implement a new infrastructure where it contributes to the development of the textile process and is also in harmony with the environment.
