Abstract: Escrito por Kathryn Stockett, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱 es una novela estadounidense controversial que describe las vidas de las criadas afroamericanas que trabajan en Jackson Mississippi en la década de 1960. En un primer capítulo, la tesis presenta toda la teoría sobre el análisis crítico del discurso y la valoración. El segundo capítulo incluye una panorámica sobre las relaciones raciales en los Estados Unidos, la influencia del contexto sociocultural sobre la escritura y recepción de la novela, y la teoría relacionada con el imaginario racial. El tercer capítulo está dedicado al análisis de enunciados por Aibileen como actante ilocutivo para caracterizarla como sujeto valorador.
