The this study was conducted in the town of flowery neighbourhood, is approximately 15 kilometres away from the main square of the city of Iquitos, a 20 minute boat ride in the margin left of the Amazon River.“ It is an important tourist point of reference of the District of Punchana, which in recent years has become as a point of recreational tourism and adventure. The objectives work was a study of the type of solid waste generated in the center town of flowery neighbourhood, such as domestic consequences of activity. The study of characterization of solid waste generated by the town shows how waste generated households evaluated in this area, the research work is reflecte the greater distribution of gender who participated was the female gender with 75% in comparison with the male with a 25% according to the study which generated more solid waste were plastic bottles with 57%, and with 19% among other products that are themselves in the daily activity of the Center village flower district suggests per capita solid waste generation is that of 0,404 kg/inhabitant/day (generation per capita. The physical composition of the solid waste the highest percentage is organic residue with 53% and inorganic represents 41% and dangerous solid waste increased by 4% is the generation of solid waste per capita: projection (0,574 kg) daily; projection monthly (17.2 kg) and annual screening (206,52 kg).
