The treatment of respiratory infections in adult with ambulatory management has a theoretical and practical disagreement, since the antecedents detail a greater use than should be in the case of antibiotics, corticosteroids, cough suppressants, antihistamines and mucolytics. Observational, Analytical, Associative and Cross-sectional study that will describe the knowledge and practices of physicians who treat adult patients with Respiratory Infections for outpatient management, through a validated questionnaire. The representation of the results will be used by Microsoft Excel 2016 and data analysis was performed using Pearson's chi-square in SPSS v.25. The level of knowledge was found to be adequate in 25% and inadequate in 75%. Likewise, in the case of practices, adequate levels were found in 53% for Rhinopharyngitis, 25% for Acute Pharyngotonsillitis, 56% for Acute Rhinosinusitis, 12.5% for Acute Laryngotracheitis and 15.6% for Acute Bronchitis. Knowledge in the treatment of laryngotracheitis is inadequate in 75%. There is an association between knowledge and practices in the treatment of Acute Bronchitis and Laryngotracheitis. There is no association between knowledge and practices in the treatment of Acute Rhinosinusitis, Acute Pharyngotonsillitis and Acute Rhinosinusitis.
