The present research work demonstrates how the incorporation of a technological and technical change implemented by the Sierra Program significantly improves the production and income levels of the peasant families of the Phuyucalla community. In a first phase the methodology was applied that allowed to make a diagnosis of the economic and social conditions of the peasant families of Phuyucalla, in such a way that it was possible to know the state of the peasant family economy before the incorporation of the Sierra program. Productive implemented by the Institute for an agrarian alternative. In a second phase, based on the questionnaire applied to peasant families, the most important changes in the production and applied technology that improved them were identified, which also affects the improvement of the living conditions of families and the entry. These changes are observed in the greater use of inputs for agriculture and livestock, new tools, use of tractor, fertilizer and pesticide and products for animal health. In addition, the implementation of these technologies and techniques have allowed the introduction of new products in the cedula of crops of the peasant family (vegetables and pastures) and the increase of livestock production such as the raising of guinea pigs by the implementation of breeding modules and livestock animals for the increase in pasture production. All this based on a greater intensification of land use. The improvement in production has also generated a significant increase in the monetary income of peasant families and a restructuring of the destination of their monetary expenditure, where the expenditure for agricultural production that accompanies the incorporation of irrigation technology is primarily prioritized. The conclusion of this research refers to the fact that development institutions can provide a true and relevant importance to the incorporation of new elements in production, asis the case of the projects implemented by Sierra Productive in the peasant communities of Phuyucalla. .
