This thesis on the area of transport and roads, specifically on the improvement of urban intersections compared to the behavior of the intersections with well-defined traffic signals and the implementation of the new road infrastructure, evaluates the conditions against the future demand of the Cusco city in the Collasuyo area. The main objective is to improve the road capacity and the level of service of each urban intersection of Collasuyo Avenue in comparison with the road capacity of the intersections signalized to the same vehicular flow and Geometric Road characteristics in the city of Cusco. The problems identified in the present investigation is basically the lack of capacity in the corridor, which is part of the basic urban network, it is also the only avenue that collects traffic flow for the east to west flow in the area. The hypothesis says: The road capacity and the service level of each urban intersection is greater compared to the road capacity of the intersections signalized to the same vehicular flow and Geometric Road characteristics in Collasuyo avenue. Theoretical framework: variables related to flow, variables related to speed, variables related to density, road capacity and level of service. Methodological framework: location of study intersections, monitoring of road intersections, analysis of study intersections, design of road infrastructure, determination of road capacity and level of service. The general conclusion refers to, the analysis of the study intersections was determined that the urban intersections offered lower road capacity and service level than the intersections with traffic signals and with better road infrastructure for the same demand.
