Student trajectory studies in university students today are strategically important since they constitute the structural basis of university work. They are necessary in improving the quality of higher education, both in its products and in its processes. For the Professional School of Systems Engineering committed to continuous improvement, it is necessary to establish the process for the description of the student trajectory studies and thus have a perspective on improvement actions that must be taken in this regard. Assuming that the student trajectory is how the students go through a certain curricular plan in the professional school, the student trajectory was measured based on the factors of school performance and school situation, the measurement was made in the first semester of 5 generations of the 2016-1 to 2018-1 and the measurement in the 2018-I semester and it can be established that, from the first semester, 58.45% of the students enrolled in the 2016 curricular plan have a student trajectory with low school performance factors and a lagging school situation in its first semester of enrollment, not having much variation in the 2018-I semester, which is 60.30; 72.86% are characterized by the disapproval of at least one subject and 50.25% of the students, that is, half have a grade point average below 13 points. 71.36% have the school situation factor in Lag, which means that they have covered less than 90% of the required credits according to their income generation, being more than 1 semester behind to date. There is a low graduation efficiency of 12.25% and the educational gap is 44.67% and 31.95% have stopped enrolling. With the results of the student trajectory, actions are proposed to improve the results obtained.
