In recent years the plaster as a building material has taken enough prominence within the drywall system, for example, interior partition walls, ceilings and coated; due to its excellent mechanical properties and low cost. Since the plaster is a material of low weight it will reduce the building’s dead load. Because of this, the plaster is a material quite studied in its various forms, especially in european countries where its production is the highest worldwide. Based on the above, the present research aims to increase the mechanical properties of plaster, such as: • Compressive strength • Flexural strength • Hardness For the development of this research two types of molds were made, the first based only the plaster and the latter with additional materials such as cellulose, cork, rubber, and polymer. These were subjected to tests of resistance to compression, flexure and hardness under european international standards: •UNE-EN 13279-2 - Building plasters and gypsum-based binders for construction. TEST METHODS Finally, a comparative evaluation of the test results from molds made only with plaster mixture (comparison parameter) and plaster molds made with added recycled material were made; the results were affirmative for the hypotheses, it should be noted that cellulose certainly vastly improved resistance properties of plaster.
