This research seeks to determine the incidence of agricultural production potential on the local economic development of the Andahuaylillas district in the Quispicanchi province during the 2014-2017 period. The communities of the Andahuaylillas district of the Quispicanchi province - Cusco Region, have appropriate geographic and climatic means to develop agricultural production of Andean crops, and therefore, have significant potential to achieve local economic development. The research is non-experimental and the data from the INEI National Agricultural Survey ENA are used to obtain the relevant indicators. A linear regression model is used to investigate the effect of potentiality on the Human Resources, Capital and financial and associativity dimensions. The main results find that agricultural productive potential has positive effects on the dimensions of human, capital and financial resources and associativeness of agricultural producers in general during the period 2014-2017. In particular, it is found that greater access to agricultural extension services increases the probability of being associated by 17.7%, creating opportunities to obtain market information and access to new suppliers. On the other hand, an increase in participation of 0.356 and 7.9% in access to credit has been found when a producer accesses an additional market. Key words: Agricultural productive potential, local economic development, ordinary least squares, Andahuaylillas district.
