The Santa River basin, located in the northern center of the Peruvian coast, has great importance for its urban, agricultural and hydroelectric supplies through irrigation projects: Chavimochic in La Libertad and Chinecas in Ancash. The background shows that both projects, aquifers are underexploited because of water table is high in the lower basin, causing salinity and soil degradation problems. Because of lack of regulation, it is necessary the planning and management of future actions, so to face especially during droughts periods. Given this situation has arisen investigate and implement methodologies for analyzing water resource systems, for which it has used the stochastic modeling for the synthesis of input and predictive simulation of aquifers and modeling management under future hydrological conditions. It has deeply explored the techniques common in the literature statistical analyzes, and has made comparisons between models that take into account the seasonality in the hydrological year and other models do not. The main objective is to evaluate the water resources available for the especial projects Chavimochic and Chinecas for that effect we are going to use stochastic modeling for the prediction of discharges, the simulation of the aquifer and the management of the water under present and future hydrological conditions. We develop the numerical simulation of subterranean flux of the aquifer on the Chao Valley to analyze the different alternatives of mining that guarantee the reload and discharge equilibrium of the aquifer for sustainability. The simulation results show the need to plan infrastructure regulation and future operation rules, with which, it could be shown that the reliability in meeting future demands improved considerably, reducing the vulnerability of the system.
