The main objective of the study was to validate the effectiveness of two non-destructive methods to determine the dynamic modulus of elasticity; the speed of propagation of sound waves with the Microsecond timer (MOEd1) and the transverse vibrations modes using the Fast Fourier Transform (MOEd2). Also, the static modulus of elasticity (MOEe) was determined by the destructive method according to the Peruvian Technical Standard. The measurements of the dynamic and static modulus of elasticity were made in Pinus tecunumanii specimens, in a saturated condition (CH > 30%). Linear regressions were performed to predict and evaluate the behavior of the MOEe based on the MOEd1 and MOEd2 found by non-destructive methods. It was found that the MOEd2 was the best to estimate the MOEe, with R2 of 0,81. Additionally, linear regression was performed using the wave propagation velocity to estimate the MOEe, obtaining a low coefficient of determination for this model.
