Water planting and harvesting have taken on great importance in recent years in order to ensure water security for the years to come. Planting is linked to water recharge of the soil, subsoil and aquifers through activities aimed at retaining, infiltrating, storing and regulating runoff water from rainfall. Examples of human intervention in these actions include the construction of qochas, amunas, infiltration ditches, reforestation, protection of wetlands and revegetation. On the other hand, harvesting is the process of collecting and storing water captured during planting activities for consumptive use, such as agriculture, livestock and population use. The objective of this work is the analysis and critique of seven Investments of Optimization, Marginal Expansion, Replacement and Rehabilitation (IOARR) of the year 2020 in the Huancavelica region in Unidad Ejecutora Fondo Sierra Azul. The methodology consists of the review of documentation such as: technical files, work notebooks, monthly appraisals, technical liquidations of work and manifests of expenses. Based on this information, the programmed versus executed goals are contrasted, problems in the works are identified and direct costs of the programmed and executed works are compared. It is concluded that there are recurrent errors or omissions within the 7 IOARR's that are part of the study. The identification of these will help to have corrective measures in place in order to improve subsequent formulations
