The goal this study was to determine the deficit nutrients in the aquaponics system for supplementation and evaluate the addition of these nutrients to the lettuce culture (Lactuca sativa) without affecting the growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The aquaponics system was made with an initial tilapia load of 5 kg.m-3 with 20 lettuces on each aquaponic bed hydroponic floating root technique was used for 30 days for each stage. Three stages were considered, in the first no nutrients were added in the second, nutrients were added from the last 15 days of cultivation and in the third stage the addition of nutrients was from the beginning experimentation. The fish were fed daily with a commercial diet of 35 percent protein and a feed rate of three percent of biomass. The results showed that nutrients with lower concentration in aquaponic cultures It was K, Fe, Cu, Zn, and Mn; those who were added to the system.
