The present work was carried out with the objective of explaining the agronomic management and its criteria for the control of the apical rot of the fruit (Blossom end Rot) of the pepper for the production of hybrid seeds in the Cañete valley, since the apical rot is a of the main factors so that the performance decreases causing economic losses. It should be mentioned that fruit apical rot is produced by a nutritional deficiency of calcium in the plant, which is fundamentally generated by hydric stress in the phenological stage of growth of the fruit. fruit, this period being considered critical. The absorption and mobilization of calcium in the plant is limited when there is stress or water deficit, which is why the root system of the plant must be kept in constant development. On the other hand, it should be noted that the pepper is a plant that has a superficial root area and little regenerative, therefore, it is sensitive to water stress, especially during the first vegetative stage and fruit growth, since it can produce a serious of alterations in the morphological mechanisms of the plant such as: reduction of the foliar area, lower root growth, alteration in the root-shoot relationship, in the filling of seeds, among others. That is why, in the present work, a fertigation program is proposed where a water deficit is not applied to the first vegetative phenological stage, but an adequate amount of water is supplied to develop the maximum root area, with the The objective is that in the subsequent phenological stages of the crop that have a greater demand for water, they do not have problems of dehydration or nutrient deficiency, so that the problem of apical necrosis is not generated and there are no economic losses.
