By clustering technique applied to quantitative variables that explain productive process, three kind of farmers of quinoa were identified, the first were called small farmers and represents the 46.7% of total, and theyhave a high levels of use of hand work, low levels of capitalization, high diversification of crops and do not have irrigation technology. The second group was formed for medium producers, which have higher throughput, big areas of cultivation, high levels of capitalization and diversification of crops similar to small farmer, this kind of producer represented the 37.6%. Finally the group of big producers that represented the 15.9%,they have bigger areas than mediums, the highest levels of capitalization, low diversification, high use of hand of work and throughput similar to medium producer. Through the stochastic frontier production, the studycalculated the technical efficiency, which has a averaged of 79 % with a variability from 47 % to 94 %, demonstrating the variability in the use of inputs of the farmers in this region, the results show also that with proper administration in the input by the producers could get better outputs using the same amount of inputs. By the function of stochastic frontier cost, the study wanted to calculate the economic efficiency, however the results were not found significant deviations of the cost function are explained by the error term that encompasses inefficiencies, this because in the calculation of economic efficiency in agriculture, the prices of inputs are few variables between producers, dude prices are defined in the market. Finally, the research analyzed the relationships among technical efficiency and exogenous variables to the model like: education levels, access to permanent irrigation systems, and tenancy of the farm; of which concluded that have a direct relationship (which does not imply causation).
