The objectives of this monographic work are to present the procedures to carry out phytosanitary certification of internal transit of fruit fly hosts and evaluate the impact that legal control has on preventing the spread of the fruit fly. The analysis is carried out through graphs prepared with the records of infestations reported at the fruit market control post, the possible indirect benefits of legal control are also evaluated, since the rejection of fruits infested with the pest, urges local producers to take action against the pest in their crops, and in this way prevent their products from being rejected and at the same time commercially devalued. In addition, the problems that cause informality in phytosanitary inspections at the fruit market control post, and the problems that arise during the inspection, are exposed. Through the analysis of the graphs, it was concluded that orange and peach hosts are at greater risk of suffering from fruit fly infestations. Furthermore, the registry of infestations could allow us to begin tracing the origin or production area of the infested hosts, detecting foci of the quarantine pest, in this case the fruit fly.
