The aim of this study was to predict seminal characteristics, in Peruvian Paso stallions, by using their correlations with scrotal width. Sample came from 14 stallions, three years old and up, and ejaculates were taken by using an artificial vagina. Scrotal width, seminal volume, sperm concentration, and motility, vitality, sperm abnormalities and cytoplasmic membrane integrity percentages. Descriptive statistics showed the following averages: scrotal width (83.86 mm), seminal volume (64.29 cc), sperm concentration (91.79 millions/cc), and motility (52.21), vitality (77.93), abnormalities (27.07), and cytoplasmic membrane integrity percentages (61.29). Correlating scrotal width results with seminal volume, and motility, vitality, abnormalities, and cytoplasmic membrane integrity percentages next results were obtained: -0.060, -0.075, -0.240, -0.405, and -0.056, respectively, all of them statistically non-significative. Correlating scrotal width results and sperm concentration percentage following result was obtained: +0.684, which was statistically significative. Scrotal width could be taken like an indirect stallion’s sperm concentration percentage indicator.
