Based on the ANA Water Quality results from 2013 to 2020, a numerical model of the dispersion of Iron, Manganese, Cadmium and Nitrates in the Mashcón River, Cajamarca, Peru was built. The US WASP model was used, but was built based on modified constants for the region. An average R2 of 0.57 was obtained, relatively high for a model of natural constants. Based on the model, the relationship between earthmoving activities and the pollutants: Iron, Manganese and Nitrates, due to the dragging of sediments through rain, was explored. It was concluded that the Environmental Quality Standard recommended by the authorities is exceeded. Despite the fact that one of the tributaries is affected by mining, the earthmoving activities in both channels contribute to the El Milagro Potable Water collection point presenting values that put the population at risk. The recommendation is to take controls in the higher part of the basin, since the values found could be increased due to climate change in the next decade.
